The PRIORITY argument specifies the message priority. Choose from priority 5 (lowest) to priority 1 (highest). Valid values are the LOWEST, LOW, NORMAL, HIGH, HIGHEST and NOTSET or numerical values 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and 0, respectively.
Command syntax
- febootimail -PRIORITY 1
- febootimail -PRIORITY HIGHEST
While some automatic email software ignores the priority header, some email clients show messages with different priorities in different colors. In general, when setting a message priority, a user might be guided by the Netiquette or a common sense.
febootimail -SERVER smtp.example.net -FROM ed@example.net -TO lincoln@example.com -TEXT Mail priority set by Command Line Email -PRIORITY high
