The IP argument allows to specify which Internet connection must be used when connecting to a mail server. When using multiple network cards in one server, it might be handy to specify which particular one will be used for sending email (e.g., the fastest one, to load balance SMTP server or preferable for other reasons).
Command syntax
- febootimail -IP 192.168.3.24
- febootimail -IP nic2.net.local
In some cases multiple network cards are used within a single machine. Every network card has its own IP address bound to it. It is possible to select any NIC by an IP address.
febootimail -SMTP smtp.example.com -FROM john@example.com -TO parker@example.net -TEXT Command Line Email using specified route -IP 192.168.3.24
