The FROMNAME command allows you to enter a friendly name of the sender. Use your real name, a nickname or a company name. A friendly name is shown in the recipient's mail application.
Command syntax
- febootimail -FROMNAME John Blake
A friendly name gives your messages a more personal look. Especially in cases when an email address alone can not give a hint who the sender is (e.g., john24@dr.example.com). Using a friendly name makes the messages more appealing to the recipient.
febootimail -FROM john24@dr.example.com -FROMNAME John Blake -TO ted@example.net -TEXT "Send a command line mail message with the friendly name" -SERVER smtp.example.org
Alternatively, a friendly name can be set, using the FROM argument:
(i.e., -FROM "John Blake <john24@dr.example.com>"
).
