After verifying the file's existence or absence in the remote location, the If Remote File Action retains important comparison information. This information, in the form of dynamic variables, can be used to configure subsequent Actions using the Variable Wizard.

VariableDetails
Filename Provides a full path and filename of the file checked for existence. When wildcards are used as input, the Filename variable may contain the name of a file that matched the condition and file mask, or the file mask itself if there was no match.
Examples:
  • /home/user/projects/marketing_analysis_june.xlsx
  • /cloud-bucket/invoices/*.pdf
  • /bucket/reports/2024-??-??.xlsx
Comparison Provides the user-selected comparison option.
Examples:
  • Exists
  • Does not exist
Matched Provides a value indicating whether the remote file met the specified condition.
Examples:
  • Yes
  • No
Completion statusRetrieve Action execution status with a possible value—Successful or Failed. Or Empty, if Action has not been executed yet.
Adjust()Streamline creation of Task workflows even further—instantly make quick variable adjustments such as in-place replacement (all, first, or last occurrence), trimming (whitespaces, quotes, etc.), or changing capitalization. Optionally, set a different display name.
