After If File Action has verified whether the file exists in specified location, it retains information about the comparison. The information can be used to configure the following Actions by specifying Variable Wizard values as their parameters.

VariableDetails
Filename Returns the name of the file verified for existence. When wildcards are used as input, the Filename variable may contain the name of a file that matched the condition and file mask, or the file mask itself if there was no match.
Examples:
  • C:\Documents and Slides\Projects\hr2024.csv
  • \\files.local\Share\Templates\report.pdf
  • N:\QuarterlyReports24\rd11.xlsx
  • D:\Downloads\Invoices\*.pdf
  • C:\Documents\Gantt Charts\2024-11-??.xlsx
Comparison Returns the specified condition of match, namely—File exists (and is either accessible or not), File exists and is accessible, File exists and is not accessible, File does not exist.
Examples:
  • Exists
  • Exists and is accessible
  • Exists and is not accessible
  • Does not exist
Matched Returns whether file matches the condition.
Examples:
  • Yes
  • No
Completion statusRetrieve Action execution status with a possible value—Successful or Failed. Or Empty, if Action has not been executed yet.
