After its completion the If App Action retains data about the process it has examined in dynamic variables.

The dynamic values can be retrieved by the means of Variable Wizard and used for automatic ad-hoc configuration of the next Actions, for example the Process ID (PID) can be used in other Actions that accept PID.

VariableDetails
Executable Full path and executable of the app or background process.
Examples:
  • C:\Program Files\Company\MyApp.exe
  • D:\Windows\System32\example-program.exe
Process ID A process identifier (PID) if the specified application is running.
Examples:
  • 8392
  • 23766
Comparison Returns the selected condition (Is running or Is not running).
Matched The text string Yes or No based on whether the Comparison condition is met or not.
Completion statusRetrieve Action execution status with a possible value—Successful or Failed. Or Empty, if Action has not been executed yet.
