After exporting the Windows registry key into a file, the Export Registry Action stores the path and name of exported key along with the name of the file into which it was exported into dynamic Variable Wizard values. These dynamic values can be automatically retrieved by other Actions of the same Task and used as their parameters.

Filename Returns the path and name of the file into which the registry key was exported.
Examples:
  • C:\My Files\Exports\backup.reg
  • D:\Backup\env24.reg
Key name Returns the path and name of the exported registry key.
Examples:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\App\Cfg
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Environment
Completion statusRetrieve Action execution status with a possible value—Successful or Failed. Or Empty, if Action has not been executed yet.
