"Network error occurred"

Overview

The error indicates that Automation Workshop Service has failed to establish connection with Automation Workshop Manager. This indicates a system state which renders Automation Workshop fully or partially inoperative.

Event examples

See some examples of the Network error occurred Event messages:

  • Error: Invalid IP address 912.168.99.15. The parameter is incorrect. [os:87; aw:20]
  • An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine. [os:10053; aw:5]
  • Network error occurred. Error decrypting payload. [os:13867; aw:6]
  • Network error occurred. Undefined error. [os:0; aw:6]

Cause

The Error decrypting payload message may be caused by an invalid Access Key while connecting to the remote machine. Make sure that the Access Key entered in the Remote Manager is valid and is not misspelled. Automation Workshop is using a strong encryption algorithm and it is not possible to manage a remote machine without providing a valid Access Key.

The Error decrypting payload is usually preceded by the Event 2002 · Client from IP address connected and is followed by the Event 2003 · Client from IP address disconnected. In such a case you will see the warning Event 1219 · Access Key is not valid in the Log Pane.

Another possible cause is that the system is very low on resources, such as kernel objects or memory. As a solution, try to restart the computer. If the problem persists, contact system administrator.
