Using hybrid credentials

Overview

To access shared network resources, a Task requires user credentials that have access to the network. Usually, this is Active Directory user or user of the remote server.

In case when it is not possible to authenticate locally with a specified Run As user, the Task is ran under SYSTEM account, however all network requests are issued with the specified user. This allows multiple Automation Workshop tasks to use different Windows Domain users simultaneously, while machine itself may not even be joined to the Domain.

Note

After a successful Event 2046 "using hybrid credentials", the regular Event 2050—Task started using specified credentials is logged. Or, depending on the execution scenario, either Event 2048 or Event 2049 are logged.
