This Error Event is part of Automation Workshop Manager Events.
Event ID · 1402
Overview
The error indicates that Automation Workshop failed to create Task file. When user clicks New Task button on toolbar, or selects New Task in the File menu, new Task does not appear in Automation Workshop Manager; instead error message is displayed.
Possible causes for inability of Automation Workshop to create Task file is that either specified path is wrong or points to read-only media, disk is full, or current Windows account is not granted permission to read or write files in necessary folder (hence, access denied error message).
If such file (e.g., New Task.task
) already exists in Task folder, a popup window with question whether to overwrite this file will come up. If overwriting is not possible and error persists, the file could be read-only.
Event example
See an example of the Can not create Task file Event message:
- Can not create Task file. Could not find a part of the path C:\ProgramData\Febooti Software\Febooti Automation Workshop\Task Files\New Task.task
Solution
Verify whether user account that executes Automation Workshop has necessary privileges to read or write files in Task folder (default Task location is C:\ProgramData\Febooti Software\Febooti Automation Workshop\Task Files\
) and that New Task.task
is not read-only.
If necessary, login with administrator account to set appropriate permissions. To set permissions, open Security tab in folder C:\ProgramData\Febooti Software\Febooti Automation Workshop\Task Files\
properties, choose user account on which Automation Workshop is executed and mark necessary checkboxes.
Go to C:\ProgramData\Febooti Software\Febooti Automation Workshop\Task Files\
, open Workshop.config
file properties and check whether Read-only checkbox is marked.
Verify if drive C:\
on which Task folder is located is not read-only media and has enough free space to write files and folders.
