Overview
The info message Waiting for file [condition] indicates that the Wait for File Action has paused the Task until the specified file exists, ceases to exist, or changes status. When the conditions are met by a file, the Task resumes with the next Action.
The [condition] is one of the following options:
- Exists · the wait ends if the specified file exists or when it is created.
- Exists and is accessible · the wait ends if the file is or becomes accessible.
- Exists and is not accessible · the Task continues when the file becomes inaccessible.
- Does not exist · the delay ends if the file does not exist or when it is deleted.
Event examples
See some examples of the Waiting for file Event messages:
- Waiting for file "D:\Data\ready.txt" to exist.
- Waiting for file "D:\Data\invoice.pdf" to exist and be accessible.
- Waiting for file "C:\Temp\db.sql" to exist and not be accessible.
- Waiting for file "C:\Temp\db.tmp" to not exist.
