Overview
The error indicates that Start Task Action has failed to start the specified Task. Or, alternatively, that a started Task has failed to complete successfully (if the Stop this Task with error if the started Task fails option is enabled in Start Task Action Option preferences.
Cause
Either the Task specified to be started has been deleted or specification mask did not match any Task file. It is also possible that one of the started Tasks has failed to complete successfully.
Also, if the Task you are trying to start is disabled, and the option Do not run disabled tasks is checked, then this Action may fail with an error 0 files affected.
Solution
Verify whether the specified Task is in place and the specification criteria points to correctly. Or, if the error is caused by inability of some started Task to complete successfully, make sure that Tasks are designed correctly and do not lead to error when executed · Task's state explained
Notes
The Task (from which the Start Task Action is executed) will stop with error if the Task started by Start Task Action fails to complete successfully. For this to happen, however, the started Task must finish before the Start Task Action does. If the Start Task Action is finished (i.e., the Task has already proceeded with subsequent Actions) when the Task started by it finishes with error, then the Task that contains Start Task Action is not stopped and selected On Error procedures are not performed.
To always process the completion status of started Task and perform related procedures, select Wait for Task to complete or terminate option in Options tab of Start Task Action properties.
