"Could not set attributes on file"

Overview

The error indicates that Set File Attributes Action has failed to set attributes on specified file or folder.

Cause

Some possible causes are—File name, folder name or path contains characters that are not allowed in file and folder names; File or folder with specified name does not exist in specified path; The user account that executes Automation Workshop has no permission to write files in specified path; Specified local or network disk is not accessible or is read only.

Also, it is possible that the file system you are using lacks support for certain attributes, such as the Encrypted file attribute, which is not supported by NTFS on Windows consumer editions.

Solution

Verify whether specified path or folder name contains characters that are not allowed in folder name. Check if specified file or folder is present in specified path.

Verify if specified drive and location is accessible and is not read only.
