"Triggered on Service"

Overview

The Service Monitor Trigger logs an information message when the watched service has entered into desired state (changed its status).

Event examples

See some examples of the Triggered on Service Event messages:

  • Task "Watch Oracle XE" Trigger "Service Monitor" triggered on "OracleServiceXE". Service is running.
  • Trigger "Service Monitor" triggered on "Windows Backup". Service is stopped.
  • Triggered on "Windows Update". Service is paused.
  • Triggered on "Oracle Main Instance · OracleOraHome22". Service is uninstalled.

Note

The current service status that is included in the info message shows the current (at the time of triggering) status of the monitored service in contrast to the specified triggering condition.

If the setting for triggering is set to only occur after the specified conditions are met multiple times, then this Event will be logged but the associated workflow will not be initiated.
