Overview

The error indicates that Rename File Action failed to rename specified file.

Cause

Some possible causes are—Folder name or path contains characters that are not allowed in folder name; File that is specified to be renamed does not exist in indicated path; The user account that executes Automation Workshop has no permission to read or write files in source or destination path; Specified local or network destination disk is not accessible or is read only.

Event example

  • Task "Supplier Contract Renewal" Action "Rename File" could not rename file "c:\crm\export\*.out". Problem with path: "c:\crm\export\secure\". Access is denied. [os:5; aw:15]

Solution

Verify whether specified path or folder name does not contain characters that are not allowed in folder name. Check whether a file with specified name is present in source path.

Login with administrator account to set appropriate permissions. To set permissions, open Security tab in specified folder properties, choose user account on which Automation Workshop is executed and mark necessary checkboxes. Verify if destination drive and location is accessible and is not read only.
