Overview
The Event shows that the value of a variable was not changed due to system error, or when the Modify Global Variable Action is trying to change a protected or read-only variable.
Event examples
See some examples of the Failed due to Reason Event messages:
- Action "Modify Global Variable" failed due to the variable "Password" is protected. [aw:2]
- Failed due to the file system error for "My Var" variable. [aw:3]
- Failed due to the variable "Temp folder" was not found.
Solution
When failing on a protected or read-only variable, and the variable is protected on purpose, you can change the behavior from the error to info Event by changing the Action options.
