Overview

The info message is shown when the File & Folder Watcher triggers an associated Task. It shows exactly what operation with which file or folder has triggered the event.

File & Folder Watcher can be set to trigger the Task when a new file or folder is created, a file is modified, a file is deleted or a file is renamed as well as when the total number of files within specified folder reaches particular amount or when a file with certain minimum size is put into folder.

Event examples

Due to flexibility of File & Folder Watcher, there exist many possible types of triggering events. Most common possible events are given in the list below (the list of provided examples is not exhaustive).

  • Triggered on new file "Folder\invoice2024.pdf"
  • Triggered on deleted file "image.tmp"
  • Triggered on modified file "data.xlsx"
  • Triggered on renamed file "new file.pdf"
  • Triggered on file count "photo023.jpg"
  • Triggered on file size "network\movie.avi"
  • Triggered on new folder "network.lan\Share\docs\2024-12"
  • Triggered on new file "db.gz". Waiting for accessible.

Note

If the Trigger after conditions have been met multiple times option is enabled, this Event 10000 · Triggered on file will be shown along with the Event 2064 · Task not started.

The workflow will start execution of its Actions, once the condition has been met a specified number of times.
