"Could not create folder"

Overview

The error indicates that Create Folder Action has failed to create folder.

Cause

Some possible causes are—Folder name or path contains characters that are not allowed in folder name; Folder with such name already exists in specified path; The user account that executes Automation Workshop has no permission to write files in specified path; Specified local or network disk is not accessible or is read only; Disk is full.

Solution

The Create Folder Action fails due to the folder already existing. In such a case it is recommended to use the Ensure Folder Action that smartly detects such cases and allows you to create seamless automated workflows.

Verify whether specified path or folder name does not contain characters that are not allowed in folder name. Check if a folder with such a name is not already in specified location.

Login with administrator account to set appropriate permissions. To set permissions, open Security tab in specified folder properties, choose user account on which Automation Workshop is executed and mark necessary checkboxes. Verify if specified drive and location is accessible and is not read only. Check if the specified disk has enough free space.

How seamless automation works? A 90-second demo.
