Overview

The Failed to copy registry key error message indicates that the Copy Registry Key Action has failed to copy the registry key to specified registry location.

Note

On some Windows versions due to specific implementation, some Registry keys may or may not fail to copy.

Solution

Verify if the source and destination registry paths are existing and accessible as well as whether the specified key exists in the source path. Ensure the user credentials used to copy the registry key grant the necessary access privileges to Windows registry for reading the source key and writing the destination key.
