Unzip Files

Specify the archive file to be uncompressed to destination folder. Unzip Files Action extracts stored files along with the folder structure.

Archive	Details
Archive file	Specify the file to be uncompressed into the destination folder. Examples: C:\Archives\2024_Financial_Reports.zip \\files.lan\EmployeeRecords\HR.tar.gz
Destination folder	Specify the folder to put the contents of archive in.
Archive type	Choose the archive file type: Auto detect · determine the archive type by the file extension. Zip · assume the archive is in the most popular zip format. Tar · archive is in uncompressed tar (tape archive) format. Tar.gz · archive file is in tar, compressed with gzip. Tar.bz2 · archive file is in tar, compressed with bzip2. gz · the archive is in gzip format. bz2 · the archive is in bzip2 format.
Browse	Use Browse to select a particular file or folder on local disk, network share on LAN (local area network), etc.
Variable Wizard	Use dynamic data input—substitute a parameter from a file, web, connected Trigger, other Actions, date and time presets, etc.

• Unzip Files integration and auditing—Variables (dynamic data) and Events (recorded activity). Retrieve the archive filename including its full path, along with a list of extracted files. Furthermore, information on files and folders extracted (or omitted), and any issues encountered during file extraction are logged.
