Rename one or more files or folders located in a directory on a remote server. During remote renaming the files are not downloaded to local machine.

New name | New name of files or folders. Input supports file masks and wildcards that allow to base new names on (part of) old name. The renamed files and folders remain in the same directory. |
Use connection | Select an existing connection to use for file renaming. If there are no defined connections, the new connection window will be opened to establish a connection to FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, or DigitalOcean Spaces server. |
Variable Wizard | Use dynamic data input—substitute a parameter from a file, web, connected Trigger, other Actions, date and time presets, etc. |
Interconnect
- Rename Remote File integration and auditing—Variables (dynamic data) and Events (recorded activity). Access the previous filename with its full path and the new filename with its full path. Events indicating successful or failed remote file renaming are automatically recorded in the log.
Note
- Existing files with the same name are not overwritten, and Completion status is consider failed.
