The Options tab of Lookup Text Action allows you to choose whether the text search will be case sensitive or insensitive. Select the text matching type (from 7 distinct matching options), and optionally provide the default value (when a lookup key is not found).

OptionsDetails
Matching type Choose how the text lookup will be performed on the key column (or vice versa):
  • Exact · requires that the value you want to look up exactly matches a value in the key column.
  • Any key starts with value · the beginning of the key text matches the value.
  • Any key contains value · the key value must contain the lookup value. Or in other words—the lookup value must be part/substring of the key.
  • Any key ends with value · the end of the key text must match the value.

Instead of matching the input value with the key column, you can do the reverse—compare if a key forms a small part/substring of the input value:
  • Value starts with key · returns the value of the first matching key (if the key forms the starting portion of the input value).
  • Value contains key · the key is a substring of the input value.
  • Value ends with key · the input value ends with the key text.
Ignore case When enabled, upper and lower case text will be treated as equivalent. When disabled, search will treat upper and lower case characters as distinct symbols.
If not found Define the default behavior in case when the lookup value is not present in the key column:
  • Return original input value · the input value will be returned as an output value.
  • Provide a new custom value · the specified custom value will be used instead.
Also, store result inThe result of the search operation is already accessible via the Variable Wizard. Optionally, choose an existing variable to store the result. To create an empty variable, use the Set Variable Action.

This Action is enabledAn Action is executed only if it is enabled. Otherwise, it will be automatically skipped (completely ignored) from the Task flow.
Use custom display nameRename this Action, to make a human-readable workflow that will help you to find, read, and make sense of the Task structure later.
Advanced fallback optionsManage the advanced fallback options—select which error types will lead to automatic execution of predefined workaround operations.
Log only errorsDo not log information and warning messages for this Action. It may be useful to keep the log file small and tidy on production systems.
