The Options tab of Execute Script Action allows to select PowerShell version, and provides quick access to common Action settings.

OptionsDetails
PowerShell version Specify which version of PowerShell will be used to execute the script.
  • Default · executes the script on the version of PowerShell which is default in the system.
  • 1.0 · forces the script to be executed on PowerShell 1.0 version.
  • 2.0 · forces the script to be executed on PowerShell 2.0 version.
Display and log the output Enables this Action to show the first few lines from the script output in the Log Pane and log them in the service.log file.

Selecting 0 log lines will disable the output logging altogether.

The output is logged as multiple entries—one for each line. See Event 105001—Execute Script output…
This Action is enabledAn Action is executed only if it is enabled. Otherwise, it will be automatically skipped (completely ignored) from the Task flow.
Use custom display nameRename this Action, to make a human-readable workflow that will help you to find, read, and make sense of the Task structure later.
Advanced fallback optionsManage the advanced fallback options—select which error types will lead to automatic execution of predefined workaround operations.
Log only errorsDo not log information and warning messages for this Action. It may be useful to keep the log file small and tidy on production systems.
