Connect to SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) server to monitor for file changes or perform a variety of operations with remote files and directories.
Connection | Details |

Server | SFTP server name or IP address. |
Port | Server port to connect (usually SFTP uses TCP port 22). |
Connection | SFTP supports secure SSH connections using either SFTP or SCP protocol.

Authentication | Depending on server settings, use user credentials, a username with SSH Private key, or both.

Username | Specify username. |
Password | Specify password. |
SSH private key path | For SSH Private key authentication, provide SSH private key file. The key must be in PuTTY format. If OpenSSH key is provided, Automation Workshop offers to convert key automatically during the Task creation process. |
Private key passphrase | For SSH Private key authentication, provide SSH key file passphrase. |
Mask password | To maximize security, mask the password characters. While enabled, it is not possible to use the Variable Wizard. |
Browse | Use Browse to select a particular file or folder on local disk, network share on LAN (local area network), etc. |
Variable Wizard | Use dynamic data input—substitute a parameter from a file, web, connected Trigger, other Actions, date and time presets, etc. |
Interconnect
- Connect to SFTP integration and auditing—Variables (dynamic data) and Events (recorded activity). Access the name (address) of the SFTP or SCP server and its fingerprints. Detailed logs are maintained for connections, including any connection or network issues.
